Richert to Race at Historic Imola

Imola, Italy

David Richert is ready to wrap up a whirlwind start to the 2022 race season this upcoming weekend at Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola, Italy.

This will be Richert's third event in just four weeks and he hopes to build upon his previous podium results at both Hungaroring and Monza in weeks prior.

Officially known as Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari, but better known simply as Imola, the circuit is steeped in racing history. A tragic weekend at Imola in 1994, which included the untimely death of Formula 1 legend Ayrton Senna, was the catalyst that lead to a complete overhaul on safety within the sport and also a redesign of the circuit layout.

Richert has driven at Imola several times before this weekend's Drexler Automotive Formula 3 Cup race but it will be his first time competing at Imola in a decade.

"We need to bounce back from our car troubles last race in Monza so I really hope we will have a more complete weekend and see where we stand, hopefully we can challenge for a victory this time." - David Richert
